Bath Bros Stud Battery
color, disposition, trainability, athleticism
Valentine Red Rogers 1990 Red Roan "Red" This horse is a blend of Hayes and Merritt Hancocks with the old King Merritt Ambrose and Red Buck bloodlines. Because he has such a strong balance of foundation, he is crossing well on our current bloodlines. |
Hancock Wiggy Bar 1996 Red Roan "Wiggy" Wiggy is becoming a big part of our breeding program. He is big (15.1 and 1460 lbs.), kind, gentle, an easy mover with a lot of athletic ability and a disposition that is hard to beat. |
Like a Son of Blue 1998 Red Roan "Lil Rojo" We named him this because in blood he is 43.75% Blue Valentine. He's a full brother to Sam's Rojo Valentine. People who knew Rojo when he was younger have said this horse looks and acts just like him. He is the closest thing to Rojo that has been raised. We believe he has an exciting future ahead of him. 15 hands and 1300 lbs. |
JCross Blue Moon 2000 Blue Roan "Moon" If you follow our breeding program, we don't use or buy outside studs. But we found "Moon" and bought half-interest in him from fellow breeder and friend Jerry Jeppson. He's homozygous black and 43.75% Blue Valentine. He's a little more refined and modern that some of the traditional high % Blue Valentine sires around. We are excited to cross him on our Rojo, Gooseberry, Leo Hancock Hayes and Roan Ambrose daughters. |
Ambrose Drift 2004 Dun "Dunny" This is our replacement for Valentine Drift who we lost prematurely last year. Plenty of Blue Valentine and a shot of My Drifty Pride. That puts more cow and athleticism in them, like the kind of horses that Nick Rowland and Mickey Gee are using. He's low hocked and very athletic for a big horse. Great mind. Real Gentle. |
Chucker Blue Kid 2004 Grullo "Chucker" This stud is bred to be a great one. He is solid Merritt breeding. We started horse and with less than 25 rides went to his first branding and drug calves. I've been around a lot of studs in my time and he has the most common sense and best disposition, bar none, and that's saying a lot with the company he has to keep! 3/4 brother to Wyo Blue Bonnet. |
